Special Places

The green courtyard of the museum invites the visitor to relax during their stay; there is also the possibility to offer flowers at the memorial as a demonstration of respect. Visitors are also invited to spend time at the White Lotus Room, a cool quiet room where visitors can reflect, meditate and listen to Khmer traditional musical performances and Smot chanting twice a day. Students from secondary level and above are encouraged to visit the Activity Room, where age-appropriate lessons give a better insight into certain topics regarding the Khmer Rouge period and S21.
